Jackson Palmer: “I want cryptocurrency to disappear”

Known for his scandalous statements about the cryptocurrency market, the co-founder of Dogecoin believes that digital currencies are a technology for evading taxes and government supervision.

Jackson Palmer ininterview stated that he wanted the collapse of Terra to be the end of crypto, “but that didn’t happen.” According to Palmer, "more and more people are doing nothing, making money by doing nothing":

“To be honest, I thought that the crypto marketwill explode much faster and people will learn their lesson. But over the past six months, I've increasingly noticed a continued insistence on investing in cryptocurrencies from companies with deep pockets, which means the process isn't slowing down. We have stopped developing."

The co-founder of Dogecoin believes that crypto winter will not come to the market in the near future:

“I still see a huge amount of capital being managed by crypto companies. They are waiting for a new batch of hamsters to arrive."

Palmer denounced ICOs, DAOs, NFTs and IGOs(initial game offerings), calling them scams. According to him, IGOs are similar to ICOs: investors pre-purchase NFTs, or in-game currency for games on the blockchain.

The co-founder of Dogecoin said that since 2013years to 2020 surrounded himself with crypto-skeptics, but “one by one they gradually entered the cryptocurrency market.” However, he now sees that enthusiasm is fading "because people are losing money, there is an awakening":

“I think that in the cryptocurrency market there will bea disaster that will be much more painful than before, and unfortunately the majority of those at the bottom of the socio-economic hierarchy will suffer.”

Despite Dogecoin's success, Palmer doesn't have the best opinion of Tesla CEO Elon Musk:

"He's a fraud, he's selling his vision inhope that one day he will be able to fulfill what he promises. But he doesn’t know this for sure. He's just very good at pretending he knows. My opinion of him and all billionaires is the same.”

In 2020, Jackson Palmer stated that institutionalization does not correspond to the original idea of cryptocurrencies.
