Representatives of the IOTA Foundation announced thatThe launch of the Chrysalis test network will take place on December 14.
The development team has been working on Chrysalis for a long time and has run a private network that has been closed to ordinary users.Now everyone will be able to try the functionality of the test network.
What is Chrysalis?
Chrysalis – this is a series of updates that should prepare the blockchain for the upcoming launch of IOTA 2.0 (a.k.a. Coordicide).
These updates will provide a smoother transition to Coordicide, increase the scale of the IOTA network, and addNew functions.
The chrysalis launch will take place in two phases.
The IOTA Foundation management has not yet specified how many transactions the network will be able to process after the full launch of IOTA 2.0, but, according to them, this number will "grow significantly."
