Intel has developed its own Bitcoin mining ASIC, dubbed the Bonanza Mine.
The manufacturer has not yet disclosed anydevelopment information. The presentation of the Intel ASIC became known from the description of the program of the IEEE International Conference on Solid State Microcircuits, which will be held from February 19 to February 26, 2022.
The event brochure states that the company will unveil its ASIC on February 23 in the "Dedicated Chip Releases " category.From the brief description, it is only known that the device is ultra-low-voltage andenergy saving.
The development will allow the American manufacturerenter the market of specialized mining equipment and immediately begin to compete with such giants as Bitmain, who sell their products at a large margin. Although it is not yet known whether the company plans to mass-produce Bonanza Mine or make it an exclusive product.
The company received a patent for an energy-efficient BTC mining process back in 2018, and seven yearsback supplied chips to bitcoin startup 21 Inc.
