In May, 202 new crypto-ATMs were installed in the world.2019, according to Coin ATM Radar.
The slowdown in device installations began in January 2022. However, in June the trend changed to positive — in the first days of the month, 863 cryptomats already appeared.
There are currently 37,836 devices in the world. In terms of countries, the United States holds the leading position - 87.9% of the total number of cryptocurrency ATMs are concentrated there.
The dominant producer is Genesis Coin, which holds 41% of the market. It is followed by General Bytes (21.6%), BitAccess (16%) and Coinsource (5.4%).
The top 10 leading operators operate more than half of the operating bitcoin ATMs (70%). The leaders — Bitcoin Depot, CoinCloud and CoinFlip — share more than 9% of the total.
Recall that in March, the UK Financial Conduct Authority warned that cryptocurrency ATM operators operate illegally in the country.
