Cryptocurrency and blockchain companies paid more than $968 thousand last year for discovering variousvulnerabilities in projects through the HackerOne platform, platform representatives told The Block.

According to HackerOne, the cryptocurrency industry is the fourth industry in terms of the amount of fees paid for detecting errors. The average amount of payment to specialists exceeds $ 6 thousand.

The top three included Internet services, computer software and multimedia.

Recall that in 2018 the community of white hackers received about $ 900 thousand in bounty campaigns from blockchain and cryptocurrency-oriented companies.

Then the payments of representatives of the blockchain industry amounted to 4% of all bounty fees at HackerOne.
