Before we reveal Jordan's secret, let's take a quick look at his biography, i.e. how did he become prominent?
Jordan Ross Belfort-born on July 9, 1962 in a Jewish familyin the Bronx USA. His parents Max and Leah Belfort were accountants and I think from an early age Jordan began to delve into the language of numbers. He graduated from the American University in Washington with a degree in biology.
Belfort began his career as a broker with L.F. Rothschild and as soon as he officially started working as a broker, Black Monday struck! That is, the stock market crash.
This did not suit Belford and he founded in the 1990sbrokerage firm Stratton Oakmont, which sold cheap stocks over the phone and convinced investors to enter into fraudulent trades. During these years, Belfort led an idle life, indulging in a lot of parties, and also became dependent on methaqualone. Stratton Oakmont had more than a thousand employees and conducted financial transactions with a total turnover of more than a billion dollars, including the IPO of the Steve Madden shoe company.
The firm's fame as a target of law enforcement in the late 1990s inspired the 2000 film Boiler Room and the 2013 film The Wolf of Wall Street.
Belfort was convicted in 1998 of fraudand money laundering. After collaborating with the FBI, he spent 22 months in prison, resulting in losses to his investors of approximately $200 million. Belfort was ordered to pay $110.4 million that he fraudulently obtained from his clients.
He was married twice: his first wife was Denise Lombardo, and his second wife, with whom Jordan Belfort was married from 1991 to 1998, was Nadine Caridi. Jordan has two children from his second marriage.
Belfort was the last ownerluxury yacht Nadine, originally built for Coco Chanel in 1961. In June 1997, she sank off the east coast of Sardinia. Italian swimmers rescued everyone on board the ship. Belfort admitted that he insisted on sailing during strong winds against the captain's advice, which led to the sinking
One of Belfort's lovers was the first Miss USSR Yulia Sukhanova.
Belfort has published two books - The Wolf of Wall Street and The Wolf of Wall Street 2: Wolf Hunt - which have been published in nearly 40 countries and translated into 18 languages.
