Smartphone maker HTC plans to add support for Binance Chain in a new special version of itsExodus blockchain smartphone.
The company announced that it will release the Exodus smartphone1, which integrates with the BNB blockchain, providing support for the decentralized exchange and Binance token. According to the post, Binance version 1 of Exodus will add support for Binance Chain in the Zion Vault wallet. Essentially, users will be able to directly access Binance DEX using their phone.
In a statement, HTC decentralization CEO Phil Chen said:
“We are starting to cooperate with the largest and mostliquid cryptocurrency exchange and give users the ability to manage their keys and run a full Bitcoin node,” — he said, noting that the device's native support for Binance DEX has the potential to change the way users interact with exchanges.
Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao(Changpeng Zhao) said smartphones are "the most natural option" for hardware wallets, especially those that users want to carry with them at all times. “Cryptocurrencies, on the other hand, will make every smartphone both a POS terminal and a payment device, cutting out most other intermediaries,” — he said.
Changpeng Zhao said he is “hungry” to see how people can use cryptocurrencies with the new device:
“The consequences of such cooperation are verydeep and far-reaching. We are pleased to work with HTC Exodus so that its users can access Binance Chaim and DEX and thus expand access to cryptocurrencies. ”
The new version of Exodus 1 Binance will be soldfor $599, the smartphone can only be purchased for cryptocurrency on the HTC website. The first customers will also be able to take part in a free distribution of BNB tokens, which will be credited to the wallets of their devices.
Let us remember that at the end of last monthHTC has released the Exodus 1S blockchain smartphone with the ability to run a full Bitcoin node. In September, HTC Exodus added support for Bitcoin Cash, and in May it also added a swap option between cryptocurrencies.
