How can one phrase make an Investor and CAPITAL out of you?

Today I decided to write a belated post.
It happened in 2011 in Khabarovsk. Verywarm memories were given to me by those days when Igot acquainted with investments (and the stock market in general). I met one person who was just starting his own business and gave me advice that completely turned my life around 5 years later.
So here it is.I ended up with very serious money (the business didn’t succeed) and I was thinking about what to do with it. With my last money I decided to enroll in a training program on investments (I also went to Finam for free courses back then).
One day I met thisman and decided to ask him: what should I do about my situation? How can I continue to live without money in a foreign city? And most importantly, what should I do with my new debts?
The answer was: START PAYING YOURSELF!
Of course, I was immediately disappointed in him.I wanted to hear from him strategies or any algorithms of action to get out of my crisis (I didn’t even have money for a pack of cigarettes, I walked around the city shooting cigarettes and thinking about how to pay rent for an apartment).
After 5 years, I started looking at the posts I made in 2011 and came across this post (START PAYING YOURSELF). And then it dawned on me what that businessman meant.
Upon arrival home in 2011, I began to create a business (trade). Of course, my business didn’t work out (that’s another story why) because this rule also works in business.
The fact is that when you pay yourself (10% minimum of all income, 10% of net profit from the business) - you begin to build and create CAPITAL!
I realized this only in 2016 (5 years were missed).Since then, I have become very interested as a prof. Investors increase capital and how they manage to make returns above the market. Also, when I learned the power of compound interest, I saw the light!
Conclusion:
When you know such information, it’s not a fact thatyou will use it (like me). When a novice Investor gets into the habit of paying himself at least 10% of any income, he will be able to create a large CAPITAL for himself after a certain time. Only one problem will arise: How to increase CAPITAL with minimal risks (study the science of investing).
