H&M began tracking clothing supply chains through the VeChain blockchain platform

Cos, the luxury brand of one of Europe's largest clothing retailers, the Swedish company H&M Group, has launchedTrack the supply chain of your products through the VeChain blockchain platform.

During a recent Q&A session, AskMe Anything (AMA) with supply chain management platform VeChain director Sunny Lu revealed that the company is working on a new project with a “fast fashion brand” it has previously collaborated with. Rumors soon emerged that the mystery partner might be H&M.

Lu said that “more than 4,000 were trackedproducts produced with social and environmental responsibility ”with MyStory, a VeChain-based supply chain tracking platform. The platform was developed in conjunction with the international certification and classification society DNV GL.

Let us remind you that in 2018 VeChainhas already collaborated with H&M subsidiary Arket to track clothing shipments. Chinese media platform Uncle Cat has revealed that the luxury brand Cos, part of the H&M Group, is an unnamed partner of Vechain. Uncle Cat officials discovered "My Story" tags on clothing items at Cos. stores.

Considering that the head of the globalSustainability H&M has previously stated that all products produced by the group will use eco-friendly or recyclable materials by 2030, collaborating with VeChain seems a logical step. In this way, the company wants to prove to customers that it is following the plan.

In March it became known that the British brandSarah Regensburger is also implementing a blockchain-based supply chain tracking solution called VeChain. Additionally, last summer VeChain partnered with Australian winemaker Penfolds to release a batch of blockchain-tracked wine.
