Government of Uzbekistan: we have a positive attitude to mining and cryptocurrencies

The authorities of Uzbekistan positively view the prospects for innovative development of the country through suchareas like blockchain, mining and cryptocurrencies.

“We are engaged in the creation of an innovative ecosystem, and every industry, every initiative is important to us. Therefore, we are positive about these areas ”- said Olimjon Tuychiev, head of the department for the integration of science, education and production of the Ministry of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan, in a conversation with ForkLog.

He added that the country has a Nationalproject management agency. This government body, in particular, is engaged in the development of the blockchain and crypto industries, holds information events related to these areas, and also supports various startups.

Alisher Sadullaev, First Deputy AdvisorPresident for Youth, Science, Education, Health, Culture and Sports, said that the government of Uzbekistan immediately took steps to legalize activities related to mining and cryptocurrencies by developing relevant regulations. Also, he said, human capital plays a key role in the development of innovation.

“Young people who know how to work with cryptocurrencies and related technologies will make a huge contribution to the future of Uzbekistan”- stressed Sadullaev.

Recall that today, November 16, the ITCONF.ASIA forum is being held in Tashkent, aimed at developing the IT and blockchain industry.

The event is dedicated to issues of investment, digital education in IT, mining development and cases of existing technology projects. Among the speakers are representatives of Binance, Bitmain and F2Pool.
