Google Launches Fully Managed Node Hosting for Web3 Developers

Google Corporation launches serviceBlockchain Node Engine (BNE) powered by Google Cloud, which will help Web3 developers create and deploy new products on blockchain-based platforms.

Google said the launch of BNE will allowWeb3 companies can relay transactions, deploy smart contracts, and read or write blockchain data directly to Google Cloud. The first blockchain supported by BNE will be Ethereum.

“Manually deploying a node is labor-intensivea process that involves provisioning a compute instance, installing an Ethereum client such as geth, and waiting for the node to synchronize with the network. However, synchronizing a full node from the first block may take several days. "BNE will help speed up this process and make it easier by allowing developers to deploy a new node in a single operation and specify the desired region and network, main or test," the blog states.

BNE offers security configurations, which can help prevent unauthorized access to nodes. By placing hosts behind a Virtual Private Cloud firewall, only trusted users can interact with endpoints, and services like Cloud Armor can help protect hosts from DDoS attacks.

Google recently notified the communityon expanding support for cryptocurrency transactions. So, next year, users of Google services will be able to pay for cloud services using digital assets. In addition, support for Ethereum addresses has appeared.
