Glassnode: 23 million PTS owners worldwide

According to the latest report by analytics company Glassnode, the number of active BTC holders is constantlyIncreases.

By January 2020, about 23 million peopleowned bitcoins, which is 0.3% of the world population. The report also indicates that the number of whales that hold more than 1000 bitcoins is about 1900.

According to Glassnode, 75 entities have more than 10,000 BTC, while only 7 organizations havemore than 100,000 BTC. 

All seven organizations are exchanges, with Coinbase leading the segment with about 983,000.BTC. Huobi holds 369,100 BTC, Binance is in third place with 240,700 BTC, followed by Bitfinex at 214,600 BTC, Bitstamp at 165,400 BTC, Kraken at 132,100 BTC, and Bittrex at 118,100 BTC.

In total, these seven platforms store more than 2.3 million (about 13% of all in circulation) bitcoins.

The graph provided by Glassnode shows thatthe growth in the number of subjects using bitcoin has gradually increased since its inception. In 2019, more than 11,000 new organizations joined the network daily, demonstrating a steady trend towards the adoption of MTC.
