Gemini Exchange Ranks First in CryptoCompare Ranking

The Gemini cryptocurrency exchange, owned by the Winklevoss brothers, took first place in the trading rankingssites prepared by the analytical company CryptoCompare.

The analysis of exchanges is carried out according to several parameters,including legal compliance, reliability, and quality of listed assets. Gemini scored 79.38 points, earning the "AA" mark. Besides her, only Coinbase fell into this category.

The rest of the exchanges with high ratings are divided bycategories A and BB. According to the report, they accounted for 40% of the global cryptocurrency trading volume in the 2nd quarter of this year, which is 8% higher than in the 4th quarter of 2019. This indicates that large sites are taking away market share from exchanges with a lower score (C-E), analysts say.

Only 15% of exchanges store more than 95% of customer fundson cold wallets, while 38% of sites make more than 25% of their financial transactions with risky companies. At the same time, 4% of exchanges have been hacked in the last year, according to data from CipherTrace.

Among decentralized exchanges, Binance DEX is the highest in the BB category. The second and third places were taken by Switcheo and IDEX respectively.
