GeekUniversity Opens Recruitment at Faculty of Product Analytics

GeekUniversity Online Universitylaunches faculty of product analytics. In 12 months, students will become specialists who understand how to increase business profits, organize and conduct research, form and validate hypotheses, analyze growth and product metrics, conduct A/B tests without errors, work with data using Python and SQL, visualize and defend findings to management. Upon graduation, employment is guaranteed. 

Product analyst — one of the most sought afterprofessions in recent years.As of November 2019, in Russia there were more than 4,000 vacancies for a product analyst, more than 1,740 vacancies for a product manager, 1,380 vacancies for a web analyst, more than 2,570 vacancies for a business analyst and more than 400 job offers for a marketing analyst.

The learning process is divided into several quarters.In the first, students will get acquainted with the basic concepts of the product approach in the company, learn how different types of analytics differ, analyze the Lean Canvas model and begin working with HADI cycles. They will learn to calculate UNIT economics, conduct Custdev, evaluate the effectiveness of growth metrics and segment the audience. In the second quarter, students will step-by-step understand the mechanics of building a Customer Journey Map, learn how to use JTBD, correctly conduct A/B tests, plan an architecture for analytical projects, work with Yandex.Metrica, Google Analytics and AppMetrica, and also understand how to configure and install counters analytics using Google Tag Manager.

In the third quarter, students will learn to writequeries, make calculations and work with databases using SQL, get acquainted with the capabilities of Data Science, learn to predict user churn, Retention Rate and LTV, learn what tasks R and Python are used for, master data analysis in Python, visualize results, learn how to make pseudo A/B tests, RFM analysis and cohort analysis. In the fourth quarter, they will master Power BI and DAX functions, learn to collect requirements and prepare technical specifications, set priorities in order to effectively solve business problems.

At the conclusion of the training, students will defend the project and take a training course for the interview. Graduates will receive a certificate and certificate confirming their qualifications.

Faculty teachers are practicingspecialists and employees of large companies with specialized education and long work experience. Start of the first flow — February 27. Training is paid.
