FTX crypto derivatives exchange CEO Sam Bankman-Fried has been named one of the 100 Influential People of 2022 by TIME magazine.
The head of the exchange fell into the «Titans» category.
According to TIME, over the past couple of years, Bankman-Fried has had a significant impact on the dominance of cryptocurrency in popular culture.
Among his initiatives, the editors mentionedattracting comedian Larry David to advertise the stock exchange at the February Super Bowl, obtaining the rights to rename the arena of the Miami Heat NBA club, speaking before the US Congress and others.
Bankman-Fried became the only representative of the crypto industry in the TIME list.
Recall that in March, TIME magazine included The Sandbox, OpenSea and Paxful in the list of the 100 most influential companies in the world.
