Ford Bicycle Jacket with LED Display for Warning Signs or Emoji

Ford introduced a prototype jacket with an LED display, which should improve communication on the road and increase the safety of cyclists.

Car maker worried about rising deathscyclists in an accident and decided to start fighting with misunderstanding between road users. To do this, the company decided to supplement the usual bicycle jacket with an LED display connected to the remote control, which is mounted on the steering wheel.

This allows the cyclist to easily and quickly select what will bedisplay the display on its back: a direction indicator, a danger signal or emoji with a different mood.

When developing Emoji Jacket, Ford collaborated withcyclists and industrial designers. It is still unknown when the jackets will appear on the market and whether they will be on sale. In any case, they will be able to help cyclists easier to establish contact with drivers.
