Facebook Calibra Team Develops New Distributed Commitment Audit Protocol

Calibra Research Group Introduces New Distributed Commitment Audit Protocol (DAPOL) to Improve Existing Techniques.

According to the developers, DAPOL is based oncurrent verification methods, but the system optimizes them and increases privacy. The new protocol allows the organization to conduct a distributed audit of its obligations and works effectively in any situation, unless the organization is interested in overstating.

This system can also be used to checktransparency of reports of negative reviews, reviews and offensive content.

The decentralized nature of the protocolprovides an objective assessment, because, unlike third-party auditors, it does not focus on individual areas or accounts, analyzing even the smallest details.

As an example, the Calibra team givesa situation where a bank or exchange publishes its obligations in the form of an aggregated value encrypted with a digital signature. In this case, each client receives a unique “ticket”, which allows him to privately find out whether the amount in his account is included in the total, and, if necessary, provide cryptographic evidence to resolve the dispute.

DAPOL can be useful for auditing finance, cryptocurrency wallets, electronic voting, economic data, and can even be used in the healthcare sector.
