Research by investment bank Goldman Sachsshowed that 40% of investors invested in cryptocurrency, and every fifth expects the bitcoin rate to rise to $ 100 thousand in the medium term.
During a survey of the company's clients,60% of those who already own digital assets said they plan to increase their share of them in their portfolio in the next 1-2 years. At the same time, 35% evaluate the market, focusing only on the dynamics of changes in value and trading volume.
22% of respondents believe that within the next 12 months the price of BTC will exceed $100 thousand. Another 54%investors expect that the rate will be in the range of $ 40 thousand to 100 thousand.
34% of the respondents noted that the key constraints for them are the uncertainty of regulation of digital assets, lack of intrinsic value and legal status.
The survey was conducted amid resumption of work on Goldman Sachs' own Bitcoin derivatives trading platform, suspended in 2018.
