ETHPow: “Ethereum Hard Fork Is Inevitable”

EthereumPoW project (ETHPow) announced the readiness of the code base and widespread support for the future fork of the Ethereum network from miners, equipment manufacturers and the crypto community.

Previously, the ETC Cooperative project expressed the opinion thatthat the ETHPow hard fork will not take place because it is too non-trivial a task. Therefore, miners and hardware manufacturers will be refocused on the Ethereum Classic (ETC) network after the Ethereum mainnet merges in mid-September.

However, ETHPow thinks differently.Project participants opposed to the merger of the Ethereum network stated that the transition of all miners to Ethereum Classic is impossible, since “a small ETC pool cannot accommodate the computing power of ETH at all.”

Initiator of ETHPow and one of the largest playersin the Chinese mining ecosystem, Chandler Guo said that his team has already disabled the difficulty bomb, updated the blockchain ID and provided replay protection.

In addition, the community has created a business group to coordinate activities with crypto exchanges, wallet providers and other third parties to support ETHPow.

“How will ETHPoS develop in the comingfive years and will ETHPoS still exist? It's all uncertain. We believe we should come together to provide a backup for the decentralized DeFi and NFT world, compete together with ETHPoS, and give the world another opportunity,” the ETHPow project said in an open letter.

Yesterday, the Binance cryptocurrency exchange reportedon her blog that she is ready to support Ethereum’s transition from the Proof-of-Work (PoW) algorithm to the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) algorithm. Also  the platform will also support opponents of the merger who plan to continue to use PoW and create network forks.
