EIP-1559 does not prevent miners from increasing their income from Ethereum mining.
It was assumed that EIP-1559 will reduce the income of minersby about 30%, however, thanks to the rise in the price of ETH, as well as the growing popularity of NFT and DeFi, miners' income increased by 60% compared to the previous month.
In August, ETH miners generated $1.65 billion in revenue, of which $556 million came from transaction fees. The rest of the profit came from block rewards.
For the third month in a row, Ethereum mining remains more profitable than mining the first cryptocurrency. Bitcoin miners earned $ 1.23 billion in August.
