Russian entrepreneurs are calling on the authorities to speed up the adoption of a package of laws on regulating relations incryptocurrency industry. The Izvestia newspaper reported this and noted that a corresponding letter was sent to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The letter was drafted by the Russian UnionIndustrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), which earlier, on the contrary, called on the authorities not to rush into legalizing the cryptosphere. Back then, businessmen believed that it was necessary to first understand the peculiarities of the industry and only then develop a regulatory framework for it.
Now RSPP believes that it is necessary to accelerate work in this direction, as many businessmen want to issue their tokens to reduce the use of traditional currencies.
The authors of the letter also emphasized that it is necessary to amend the civil law, this will create comfortable conditions for blockchain startups and introduce industry taxation.
First of all, it is necessary to introduce licensing of market players, which will increase transparency and ensure the security of transactions with digital assets.
One of the supporters of early adoptionCryptocurrency legislation is advocated by the head of the board of Norilsk Nickel, Vladimir Potanin. He is interested in legalizing the industry, as he plans to issue a token backed by non-ferrous metals.
However, the State Duma previously stated that this year, most likely, the adoption of the bill on so-called digital assets will not take place.
