Deutsche Bank plans to launch a cryptocurrency storage platform

Deutsche Bank announced its intention to create an integrated institutional-grade digital asset storage platform in 2021.

According to a report by the World EconomicForum, the upcoming custody service will provide customers with seamless access to the cryptocurrency ecosystem through hot / cold storage solutions and insurance coverage.

The German financial conglomerate plans to launch the service in stages, but eventually users will be able to buy and sell digital assets by directly collaborating withissuers, brokers, and trusted exchanges.In parallel, Deutsche Bank will offer related services related to lending, taxation of digital assets, their valuation, management of crypto funds, equity participation.

Only large investors will be able to access the platform. Fees will apply for storage, trading and tokenization.  

Last week, Visa also announced the start of trials of a suite of banking services for cryptocurrency transactions.
