Deloitte Luxembourg branch tests Bitcoin employee lunch payment

Luxembourg, a division of a large auditing firm Deloitte, is testing the possibility of paying for lunchesBitcoin company employees.

To this end, Deloitte has launched limited features of the BitPay service for its employees. Similar payments in Bitcoin were available back in 2017 at one of the company's offices in Toronto.

“We believe this is a good opportunity forour employees to appreciate the potential of the technology,” said Laurent Collet, strategic and corporate finance partner at Deloitte in Luxembourg.

He added that the company does not yet plan to doavailable Bitcoin payments for its clients. On the other hand, the Luxembourg branch of PwC, a competitor of Deloitte, will begin to accept payments from its clients in BTC from October 1.

Let us remind you that in February the auditthe firm tested a blockchain project for supply chain management, and last November it became known that Deloitte and Attest were developing a blockchain identification system.
