One New Jersey legislator has introduced a bill that would require a licensecryptocurrency companies. The bill aims to strengthen consumer protection.
According to a document called the Blockchain Actand digital assets, ”if a company plans to provide cryptocurrency services in New Jersey, it will need to obtain an appropriate license.
For this company needs to providethe name registered in the relevant services, trademarks and advertising marks, the history of licensing and work in other states, as well as the rules for countering money laundering and terrorist financing.
Also, companies operating in New Jersey mustpublish their internal documents, including the status of work with state regulators, a document on commissions and information on potential risks of trading in the cryptocurrency market.
Let us recall that last year the state regulator banned the work of two ICO projects Zoptax and UNOcall.
