FTX Group, operator of the Bahamas-registered cryptocurrency exchange FTX, has filed for bankruptcy inin accordance with Title 11 of the US Codebankruptcy allowing for business reorganization. The company's statement, published on its Twitter account, also announced the resignation of FTX Group Chairman Sam Bankman-Fried. He will be succeeded in this post by John J. Ray III.
