The creator of the blockchain network Zcash thought about the transition to Proof-of-Stake

Cypherpunk Brice “Zuko” Wilcox, known for creating the Zcash cryptocurrency, said that he wants a coin focused onConfidentiality, derived from the PoW concept mechanism.

Wilcox believes that the Zcash network should go through an analogous Ethereum transition to Proof of Stake (PoS).

Proof of Work (PoW), based onbitcoin network, offers miners a grant for solving difficult mathematical problems and creating new coins. This mechanism of concept is often criticized for the fact that a large amount of energy is required to maintain the network's performance.

According to Wilcock, PoS is environmentally safe, and also provides high security:

I think that in Proof-of-Work there are somethe inadequacies in safety, which was covered by the past attacks 51% (when one technician monitors most of the power and

I think that proof of ownership can provide a city with a more efficient kind of safety at a lower cost.

Some of these statements are widely accepted inThe bitcoin community, whose members are not convinced that the blocks with the proof of ownership cannot be compared with the level of BTC safety. Moreover, the algorithm is constantly susceptible to criticism for the possibility of centralizing power by creating plutocracy.

Wilcox, who has a history of communicating with the alleged creator of the bitcoin Catoshi Rakamoto, has provided an example of successful projects based on Card and PoS, including

At the same time, well-known people in the crypto-social communityExtremely skeptical about Proof of Ownership (PoS). Among them is the General Director of Blockstream and the candidate for the role of Satoshi Hakamoto Adam Back, who believes that this concept of concept has fundamental problems.
