American telecommunications equipment maker CISCO has patented a system designed to protect 5g networks, based on blockchain.

According to the description provided in the application forobtaining a patent, the system will simultaneously manage several sessions of information transfer between user devices and virtual networks. It doesn’t matter which device is used: a mobile phone, tablet or computer.
The new technology will manage part of the exchange between the network itself and the connected device through the blockchain. This will increase the degree of protection of data transmission from hacker attacks.

Recall that this is not the only CISCO project,aimed at using blockchain technologies. Earlier, the company said it was ready to implement a joint project with SingulatiryNET, aimed at developing strong artificial intelligence (AGI) based on the blockchain.
