ConsenSys continues to lay off employees

The crisis forced ConsenSys – leading developer of Ethereum-based solutions – lay off 90 employees.

ConsenSys,Ethereum-oriented development studio fired 14% of its employees.

A ConsenSys representative cited the impact of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which has altered business prospects: 

Like most competitors, the company seesextraordinary market uncertainty when enterprises reallocate priorities and reassess timelines. In such circumstances, we must make changes to conserve resources and provide our ongoing ability to support our customers, innovate and serve the wider ecosystem.

A ConsenSys statement said:

ConsenSys made a very difficult decision todaypart with 14% of the global team. This course of action is necessary to support the company's mission and for further long-term work. All key operational aspects of the business are retained. ConsenSys remains focused on the core mission of enabling developers and enterprises to deploy and deploy blockchain-based products.

ConsenSys's first wave of cuts took placeearly February, during which the company announced that it was conducting a major restructuring of its business in accordance with the directions of development and venture financing.
