One of the most popular crypto resources CoinMarketCap has added a new factor in the ranking of exchanges – volume of web traffic.
Web traffic ratio now helps the resourcerank exchanges. This fundamental change will help improve the accuracy of exchange ratings of platforms and will greatly change the list of leaders, says Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao.
Recall that Binance recently concluded the largest transaction in the cryptocurrency market by acquiring CoinMarketCap.
After implementing web traffic ratio, Binance ranks first and Coinbase Pro – second.
The Web Traffic Score uses a scale from 0 to 1000, with the best web traffic platform always scoring 1000. Binance currently has 1000 points and Coinbase Pro – 972.
Although this change improves reporting accuracy, some members of the crypto community see a connection between the acquisition of CMC and the promotion of Binance on the platform.
