Last year, the exchange spent more than $230 thousand lobbying Congress for cryptocurrencies.

According topublic reporting, Coinbase paid $ 50,000 to the Franklin Square Group in the first quarter of 2020, and $ 60,000 each quarter.

The documents indicate that in different quarters the exchangeordered various services. For example, in the first quarter, they paid for “digital asset and financial technology regulations,” while other quarters are labeled “COVID-19 recovery” and “margin trading support”.

Franklin Square Group – one of the largest lobbying companies in the States. It also serves companies such as Dropbox and Alphabet.
