Coca-Cola's IT department, which is responsible for transaction processing and deliveries in the United States, has integrated a blockchain solution to increase the effectiveness of interaction with contractors.

After a successful pilot project, CokeOne North America decided to implement the solution at 70 enterprises that produce the drink and supply approximately 160 thousand bottles to stores daily.

Blockchain-based software was developed by SAP, a company specializing in industrial control systems.

According to a senior manager at Coke One NorthAmerica by Andrey Semenov, the solution is intended primarily for cooperation with such giants as Walmart and Target, for which it is difficult to make payments due to the scale of their activities.

Although Coca-Cola has just begun to usebenefits of blockchain, Walmart has been using this technology in its activities for a long time and even plans to release its own cryptocurrency.
