Chinese miners began to stop production due to an outbreak of coronavirus

Due to the introduction of quarantine in China, local businesses are experiencing difficulties due to the partial restriction of the movement of citizens.

As the authorities seek to keep the situation undercontrol, in some regions people simply can’t easily get to their place of work. Chinese miners and ASIC manufacturers are no exception.

Jiang Rueyo, CEO of BTC.top mining company, recently reported that the company was forced to suspend the operations of one of  its farms in a remote area and turn off all ASICs there becauseauthorities prohibit staff from returning to work until quarantine ends.

PandaMiner COO Abe Yang toldabout a similar problem. His company still continues to produce, since more than half of the employees decided not to go home on New Year's holidays, but a shortage of labor affects the efficiency of the farm and affects the quality of service for ASICs.

Previously, Bitmain, Canaan and MicroBT officially announced delays in ASIC deliveries until February 10.

Since about 2/3 of all computingBitcoin network capacity is located in China, the community fears that disruptions in the work of local companies could drain the hashrate and destabilize the market situation in anticipation of the halving.
