China will launch a full university course on blockchain

The Chinese Ministry of Education has given permission to Chengdu Information Technology University to launcha full educational course on the blockchain. Admission of applicants starts this year.

Blockchain course for engineers will notlag behind the constantly changing trends in the social economy and informatization and satisfy the industry demand for such specialists. When developing the curriculum, special attention was paid to subjects on the design of systems based on the blockchain, as well as project management and implementation.

The program will also allow future specialists tothe blockchain field, to acquire skills in computer science and technology, as well as to study blockchain theory and methods for developing projects based on distributed registry technology.

Late last year, University of Californiain Santa Barbara (UCSB) conducted the first certified blockchain course. The course was held for students of the Faculty of Computational Sciences and was organized at the request of the non-profit organization Blockchain Acceleration Foundation (BAF), which contributes to the accelerated implementation of blockchain in various fields.
