Cameron Winklevoss: not buying BTC now is worse than not investing in Amazon and Apple in the 2000s

The famous billionaire Cameron Winklevoss believes that the reluctance to buy bitcoins today is even morea bigger mistake than not wanting to invest in Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, or Google 20 years ago, in the early 2000s. He told about this on his Twitter.

Winklevoss recalls the time after the bubble collapseDotcom, when investor confidence in Internet stocks was damaged. In those years, today's market giants suffered significant losses. For example, Microsoft shares fell more than 50%, from $56 at the peak of the bubble to $20 in subsequent years.

Now the value of shares of any of these companies inseveral tens or even hundreds of times higher than it was then: all price fluctuations on the current charts seem incredibly insignificant. Amazon stock has surged from $ 10 in 2002 to $ 3164 today.

Cameron Winklevoss believes Bitcoin will see similar price spikes in the future.

The billionaire also suggested that Bitcoin will continue to grow as it will be supported by the explosive growth of Decentralized Finance (DeFi).

Over the past month, the price of bitcoin has grown from $ 9,000 to $ 11,770 and, apparently, is not going to stop, setting more and more new records, including in the network hashrate.
