Burger King fast food chain accepts payment in bitcoin

According to local media reports, a Burger King restaurant in Venezuela has announced a partnership with the Cryptobuyer project, thanks towhich several cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Dash, Litecoin, Ethereum and Tether, will be accepted as a means of payment.

Residents of the country, who, against the backdrop of tremendous inflation, are investing in cryptocurrencies, can use their assets in everyday life without subjecting the available funds to rapid depreciation.

Currently, only one Burger King branch in Venezuela accepts cryptocurrency, but this year cryptocurrencies will be deployed in all 40 branches.

Over the past two years, retailers in the country have begun to accept digital currencies, as this is more profitable than settlements in bolivars.

Along with this, President Nicolas Maduropromotes the use of Petro cryptocurrency linked to oil. According to him, already now with her participation, contracts have been signed for the sale of oil, gold and other goods.

In addition, Maduro said the introductioncryptocurrencies are very successful, as six million families have already used cryptocurrencies during the holiday season. Petro is also expected to help circumvent sanctions imposed by the United States of America.
