Brian Armstrong predicts the next 10 years

Brian Armstrong, CEO and co-founder of the Coinbase exchange, spoke about his expectations fromcryptocurrency market for the next 10 years.

In his opinion, the next decade will appearscalable blockchain with high bandwidth, which will attract a huge number of crypto enthusiasts, and the number of its users will be at least 1 billion. Armstrong believes that second-level solutions will provide greater scalability and will lead to the subsequent growth of a new generation of crypto startups.

Armstrong predicts that cryptocurrencies andblockchain will have two main vectors of development. The first vector will be the expansion of emerging markets and penetration into unstable, undeveloped financial systems. Another direction – development of crypto startups with valuable products.

Armstrong predicts that nextfor decades, not only technology companies will use blockchain and cryptocurrency, but governments will also be involved in crypto technologies and will begin issuing national digital currencies (CBDC).

According to the head of Coinbase, privacy will be a key feature of new public blockchains, and a fundamentally new system for protecting privacy will be created in the coming years. 

In addition, according to his statement, in the near future more than half of all billionaires on the Forbes list will come from the crypto industry.
