BitMEX will add spot trading and custody services

BitMEX Exchange Plans To Launch Spot Trading, Launch Brokerage And Cryptocurrency Storage Service

CEO 100x Group – management company BitMEX – Alexander Hoptner said in an interview with Bloomberg:

We need to decide very quickly how to implement these plans – find partners, or buy someone, or build a platform yourself.

Hoptner joined the 100x Group in January,three months after the US government accused former executives of violating AML rules and deliberately withdrawing large sums from the company's accounts.

The new CEO will have to lead BitMEX out of the largest crisis in the history of the exchange and restore its reputation in the eyes of regulators.
