BitMEX has a massive data leak

Representatives of the BitMEX exchange accidentally disclosed user email data, forgetting to useblind carbon copy (bcc) in the mass mailing. BitMEX admitted to the incident in an official statement released today, November 1.

Concerned community members point out thatThe leak makes BitMEX account holders vulnerable targets of potential hackers, and the data serves as a “missing piece of the puzzle” for attackers.

In their statement, BitMEX employees wrote that they are doing everything possible to minimize the risks associated with this situation and are ready to communicate with each affected client.

Following the Binance Crypto Exchange Leak Newsadvised all BitMEX users who also have a Binance account to immediately change the email address of their Binane account.
