Bitmain compensates for losses of buyers of new miners

The largest manufacturer of ASIC miners Bitmain distributes bonuses to customers who pay for the latest mining machinesbefore the start of the March price cut.

Bitmain sells its miners according topre-order with full prepayment several months before delivery of the equipment itself. Customers who ordered devices from the new AntMiner S17 + and T17 + line at the beginning of the year have already paid the full cost of the order. However, after the March collapse of the first cryptocurrency, the prices of Bitcoin miners fell by an average of 20%.  

The company will provide customers with coupons for the differenceprices Bitmain believes that for the AntMiner S17+ received at the end of March, buyers overpaid $240 per unit, and in April it was already $270. For these amounts, clients will receive a bonus coupon, which gives corresponding discounts on their next purchases from the company. 

This will help support miners before halving.2020 and reduce the cost of equipment. In addition, given the low likelihood of a MTC price rise after the May event and a drop in sales, it can be said that in this way Bitmain is trying to attract customers and affect a significant decrease in the company's revenue.
