Bitfinex Added Bitcoin Transaction Support Through Lightning Network

Bitfinex has become the first major cryptocurrency exchange, users of which can use the Lightning Network when making bitcoin payments.

Paolo Ardoino, technical director of the trading platform, confirmed that from today customers can replenish their deposits and withdraw funds through a lightning-fast network.

The exchange claims that thanks to the innovation, customers were able to make instant bitcoin transactions and pay almost zero commissions for these operations.

Although the Lightning Network layer 2 solution is stillis at the testing stage, its protocol has already successfully passed formal security testing and is considered the most promising way to improve the scalability of the PTS network.

According to Paolo Ardoino, LN is the best option not only for P2P payments, but also for payments between companies.

Bitfury shares the same point of view.Group, which has partnered with payment service HadePay to help businesses accept payments via the Lightning Network, as well as Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, who intends to integrate the solution into the Cash mobile payment app, which has seven million active users.
