For supportingBitcoin blockchain health requiredthere is only one active bitcoin node (one node), while, according to Szabo, there are already more than 9000 copies of the full transaction history of this cryptocurrency in more than 90 countries of the world:
A digital currency that would survive a nuclearwar: the full Bitcoin transaction history, all the way back to the genesis block, exists in over 9,000 copies located in over 90 countries — and that’s just counting the copies running live.https://t.co/fbKKtJ6Uay

The world’s nuclear stockpile is 15,000 warheads, although scientists believe that 100 of them are enough for a nuclear winter.
Earlier cryptocurrency pioneer Charlie Shrem alsoexplained why Bitcoin could survive a nuclear war. He said that in that case there would be no banks, and Bitcoin would be able to work via satellite Internet and through renewable energy sources. According to him, this will be possible even with the complete destruction of electric and telecommunication networks, and in such a case, some Bitcoin supporters buy satellite Internet equipment, autonomous power supplies and protect their equipment.
Previously, we talked about how Microsoft's GitHub web service is creating a repository for Bitcoin and Ethereum code in the Arctic in case of an apocalypse.
