The Bitcoin SV (BSV) network underwent a Genesis update last week, but the new BSV 1.0.0 version does not work as expected.as it should be.
When the BSV nodes find a longer BCH chain, they adjoin it automatically and go into safe mode, where some functions are disabled, including wallet functions.
Recall that Bitcoin SV has existed as a fork of Bitcoin Cash since November 2018. This problem became known only now.
GitHub discussion explains node behaviorby consensus, Nakamoto, who considers the longer of the existing chains valid. The Bitcoin Cash chain is really longer, and the Bitcoin SV technology allows some BSV nodes to connect to BCH nodes.
So far, the only suggested solution has been found in disabling safe mode on problem nodes.
The Satoshi VIsion developers are confident that this technical error does not threaten the BSV network. Most of the nodes in it are controlled by miners with sufficient knowledge to solve the problem.
Bitcoin SV has often been criticized for claimsits founder Craig Wright and remained a controversial project for several reasons. Recently, even Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales said he would never use BSV. However, this does not prevent the asset from remaining on the list of coins with the highest market capitalization.
