Bitcoin 2020 Leading Conference Canceled Due to Coronavirus Outbreak

One of the largest Bitcoin conferences Bitcoin 2020 in San Francisco was supposed to take place at the end of March, however,due to coronavirus transferred to the third quarter of this year.

The organizers said the decisionThe postponement of the conference was adopted in light of the state of emergency that the state of California introduced earlier this week, as well as the San Francisco Mayor’s mayor’s statement about measures to contain the spread of the deadly virus.

"Having spent the last year preparing for Bitcoin 2020 with a great group of speakers, panelists, sponsors and partners, we are disappointed to ask you to wait a few more months.However, we are confident that Bitcoin 2020 will still bethe biggest and best celebration since the history of Bitcoin,"said the organizers of the conference.

They also confirmed that all tickets already purchased remain valid for the new dates and that visitors do not need to take any additional actions.

Nodl, a French development company in the fieldLigthning Network, also planned to hold its own event during Bitcoin 2020, but is now considering the possibility of its transfer to the online space.

California declared a state of emergency after confirming the first death from a coronavirus. A 71-year-old man who died in a hospital near Sacramento had serious health problems.

It is believed that he became infected on board a cruise ship that flew from San Francisco to Mexico last month.
