Binance.US received a license to operate in Nevada

The American division of the largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance announced that it had received a license to carry out money transfers fromNevada Department of Business and Industry.

Nevada became the seventh jurisdiction toBinance.US received a money transfer license this year, following West Virginia, Connecticut, Wyoming, Rhode Island, Idaho and Puerto Rico. Binance.US is currently available to residents of 46 US states. Users of the site have access to trading in more than 120 cryptocurrencies and tokens.

“We continue to take the necessarysteps to comply with regulatory requirements of various US states. We ensure the safety of our clients' assets and the security and transparency of our platform. Obtaining a money transfer license is further evidence of our efforts to comply with regulatory requirements. We are grateful to the Nevada Department of Business and Industry for their time and trust in our platform,” said Binance.US CEO Brian Shroder.

In early August, Binance.US announced the delisting of the AMP token - the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) determined the asset to be a security, and the exchange decided to suspend trading in this token until there is greater clarity in the classification of the asset.
