Binance Donates $10M to Support Ukrainian Refugees and Invites You to Join the Charitable Initiative

Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange, will allocate $10 million to help Ukrainian refugees.This was reported byofficial twitter account of the trading platform.

Binance Blog Says Ukraine Faceswith a humanitarian disaster. The UN reports that 120,000 people have already fled their homes. To help people who find themselves far from home, the exchange donates $10 million to major intergovernmental organizations that help countries that border Ukraine and host refugees with the purchase of food, fuel and essentials.

"In response to this crisis, we are donating $10 million to major intergovernmental organizations and local NGOs on the ground to provide emergency assistance to refugees and children."

Launched by Binance Charity, the Humanity First - Ukraine Emergency Relief Fund initiative raises $20 million to protect children, refugees, and internally displaced people.

This is not Binance's first humanitarian project.In March 2020, the Crypto Against COVID initiative from the exchange's philanthropic foundation brought the crypto community together to help those affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Then Binance kicked off the campaign by donating $1 million in BUSD stablecoin. The exchange also committed to allocate up to an additional $1 million following the social media campaign. Binance Charity always promises to all donors and participants of the program to ensure maximum transparency in the implementation of the charitable initiative.

The collected funds were spent on medicalequipment and protective equipment that were donated to medical organizations in Italy, Germany, Spain, South Korea, Iran, Turkey, the United States and the UK.
