At the moment, a huge number of banksforbid their customers to buy cryptocurrencies. Recall that last year, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) ceased to cooperate with any enterprises engaged in cryptocurrency business in the country, and also prohibited other banks from providing services to such companies.
