Bakkt announced that it raised an additional $300 million in Series B funding to further develop its operations.
According to the statement, the number of investors includedcompanies such as Microsoft M12, the parent Intercontinental Exchange, PayU, Pantera Capital and others. The funds raised were used to expand the staff and support loyalty, incentive and promotion programs.
This summer, Bakkt also plans to launch a new consumer application that, according to management, will process digital assets worth more than $ 1 trillion.
Currently, the company's main focus is the trading of deliverable bitcoin futures and the provision of institutional-grade custodial services.
