Open interest in bitcoin futures on the Chicago Exchange (CME) is up 6% in 2023, while interest in ether futuresThis is reported by Arcane Research in its new report.
"This open interest trend is different from the usual trend of CME futures.It shows that BTC was in the lead at the beginning of 2023," they writein a report by Arcane Research analysts Bendik Schei and Vetle Lunde.

The report notes that open interest in smaller altcoins also increased in January.
