Anatoly Aksakov: “We will strictly regulate cryptocurrencies and miners”

Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market Anatoly Aksakov said that Russia may well legalize cryptocurrencies and mining.

The deputy emphasized that digital assetsmust be regulated according to all financial market rules. That is, mandatory identification of participants and tests for qualified investors are required. Platforms will be required to obtain a special license and comply with reporting and tax principles.

The parliamentarian spoke about such a concept as “cryptomania”. When investors pour their last money into various tokens, hoping for massive growth:

“The phenomenon exists, those who want to take risks, well, for your health, take risks, but under strict regulation and control.”

Now there is some calm on the issue of regulation and legalization of cryptocurrencies in Russia. However, in the fall, the legislative process, according to Aksakov, should be more active.

Recently Anatoly Aksakov&nbsp;introduced&nbsp;inthe lower house of parliament drafted a bill to punish the release of digital assets without the permission of the regulator. Legal entities are proposed to be fined up to 1 million rubles.
