Amazon will accept payments through a cryptocurrency-enabled service

The marketplace has become a partner of the PayPal payment system and its Venmo service, which supports payments in bitcoins,Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash

Users of the largest Americanmarketplace Amazon will soon be able to pay for purchases using the Venmo payment service. The corresponding agreement was concluded by Amazon and PayPal, which owns Venmo. US residents will be able to use the service to pay on Amazon as early as 2022.

Venmo payment service has been supporting since Aprilthe ability to buy, sell and store cryptocurrency. Its 80 million customers have access to four digital coins - Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash. Therefore, an agreement with Amazon could mean that purchases on the marketplace can be paid for with digital assets.

Back in June, there was talk in the marketplace that Amazon would start accepting bitcoin as payment. Later this information was denied by representatives of the marketplace.
